AJW Distribution

AJW Distribution are an independently owned cladding and roofing suppliers company, delivering roofing, cladding and general building materials to a wide variety of contractors, builders, builders merchants and to the general public.

AJW have been undertaking a general refurbishment programme at their Norwich site and Padgate Services have been involved in replacing the lighting systems within AJW’s warehouse, offices and in their outside areas, as well as undertaking remedial electrical works at the site.

Padgate Services assessed the current lighting arrangements at AJW and then liaised with third party lighting specialists to identify new light fittings that utilised the latest technology to ensure they were as energy efficient and cost-effective as possible in the long-term and provided appropriate levels of light coverage in the required areas on site. Throughout the project Padgate Services liaised with AJW management to ensure that they were happy with the proposed replacement programme and scheduled the work at a time to suit their business. Padgate Services organised hire equipment to allow the work at heights to be completed successfully and ensured that all the work undertaken was compliant with the 17th Edition electrical regulations.

The results – significantly improved light coverage in all the areas on site where the replacement lighting programme was undertaken and new light fittings that are both energy and cost efficient, delivered in a safe, efficient and legally compliant manner.
